For my Weekly Poetry Challenge this week, I wrote a Tanka poem about the blood moon eclipse which will take place tomorrow, July 27th, 2018. I used “wisdom,” for beliefs, and “odd” for strange.
There has been some speculation about this particular celestial event, as it is the longest eclipse, lasting in excess of six hours. This eclipse will not be seen in America, while it can be viewed in other parts of the world. Click HERE to find the best viewing times and places.
Sooth-sayers have come out in droves, predicting that this event will portend the end of the world. Click HERE to read the Blood Moon Prophesy.
While I don’t necessarily believe that the world will end tomorrow, I do feel the vibrations of new beginnings in our world order. I believe that if we shine our light filled with love outward into the universe we will increase the positive vibrations for the world.
The blood moon eclipse—
ancient wisdom transcending,
as Mars hovers near.
While Earth, Moon, and Sun align
predicting odd days ahead.

You ready to write some poetry?
I get a little shiver over these events too.

I know, there is something brewing… of course, we have the crazy one in the WH and that doesn’t make life easier. LOL! 😀

LOL! I started out writing about Crow and this is where I ended up. It’s all one in the same, I think. 😀 Thanks, Willow. ❤

I’m not sure that we could survive the days getting much odder. 🙂 But a positive change wouldn’t certainly be good.
These types of events are so cool–too bad we won’t be able to see it here.

Colleen, I’m glad you wrote about the blood moon eclipse. Mars is bright orange tonight. Probably Nancy Reagan would consult her astronomy to see what lies ahead.

LOL! It works. Not all of the ancient ways are bad. 💜

Oh, thanks Janette. I started writing something else and Crow, my muse… led me there. It’s always fun to see if I can use different synonyms than everyone else. 😀 ❤

Me and my person love your Tanka Colleen and take heart in ancient wisdom. We believe it will stabilise (and transcend) the odd days ahead. ❤

Brilliant Tanka, Colleen! I would have loved to have seen it, but here in Florida we didn’t see a thing. Great use of the prompt words and I loved the pictures too. ❤ xx
