Life is likea cup of tea

This week for my Tanka Tuesday Poetry Challenge, I used alter for change, and resisting for deny.

In the early hours—
before dawn’s pink light explodes,
I alter my view
of the cosmos in my mind
resisting a mundane life.

Searching for magic
amongst all the disasters
thrown at me daily—
finding the humor inside,
by learning to love myself.
