“Moon Madness,” #Haiku

This week for my poetry challenge, the words were “enchant and fly.” Finding different synonyms than everyone else proved to be rather interesting. So, for enchant, I used bewitched. For fly, I used a phrase, take flight.

What are you doing tonight to celebrate the full Harvest Moon?

  1. Cute poem! I was surprised when I discovered that today is a full moon, together with Friday 13th. Seems that there are more than 20 years when last happened. It will be a magical night!

  2. Colleen, wow that is an amazing Hiaku – stunning! I visualized exactly what you saw and what made you write it with such clarity and wonder. I watched that moon for hours last night and I have never seen anything more breathtaking than that Harvest Moon over the ocean. Your Haiku, made me see it again in my mind’s eye – and I thought, wow, amazing how you captured it so truly and so real. Fabulous! Karen Anna 🙂

  3. Did you get the coven together to call down the moon? 😉 It’s time to clear out the clutter––both physical and emotional––before the winter. ❤
