#ShareYourDay

Sophie, my writing muse ❤

Okay, I’ve finally found a theme that works for me. Whew! WP definitely upgraded the editor again, because everything looks different in the post template. I also had to change my browser to Chrome. Not my favorite, but everything seems to be working on WP. Fingers Crossed!! Many thanks to David for his theme inspiration… the Libre2 theme is working. 🙏🏻 🌸

This week for #TankaTuesday, I’m sharing the spot where I do all my writing and creating. Sophie spends the day (and nights) with me most of the time. I’m not ashamed to say that I’m still in my jammies as it’s been another wintry day here in Michigan. I’m looking forward to spring!

    1. LOL! She is such a sweet cat, but a scaredy cat! She doesn’t like anyone but Ron and I. Now, Chloe, the gray and white cat, spends a lot of time downstairs watching out the windows. She is more comfortable with people. She’s 4 months older than Sophie. She mothered her as if she was her own. We’re very lucky to both of those girls. ❤

  1. It looks cozy. I hope you get some real spring weather soon.
My Ricky keeps me company, too. The other morning very early a poem came to me as he was purring next to me in bed–my husband called him my muse.

  2. Cute muse! I know what you mean about that spring. We hit -1 Celsius this morning and it’s supposed to be spring not the depths of winter, lols. Have a wonderful Sunday, Colleen. 💕🙂

  3. I think your theme looks nice. We dress down whenever we’re at home, so lounge pants and what not allow me to relate to staying in your jammies. We’re at that weird Idaho place where we need the furnace in the morning and the AC by sunset.

    1. Thanks. I can see this theme. All that white is getting hard on the eyes. LOL! It was 30 F. this morning with 96% humidity. Cold and damp… and yes, the furnace is still on. Spring is struggling this year. Last year, by this time we were in the 50s and 60s. Yes, comfort is the name of the game. Life’s too short to be uncomfortable, especially at home. LOL! ❤

  4. That haiku. Oh my. Sending you some sunshine I gathered the other day. Two days old — as it rained all day today.
Nice cozy place that certainly needs a cat. Happy writing. No stress please. 👼

  5. What a cozy spot, Colleen, and how nice that Sophie keeps you company. The Libre theme looks to be perfect for your blog and the background color is soothing for my eyes. We dress casually at home too because as you say, life’s too short to be uncomfortable.

I recently read where we will be able to migrate our blog into one of the FSE themes in its entirety. I think the process will soon be much improved.

    1. We’ll have to wait and see. The FSE themes don’t have widgets that I can tell (at least not side widgets). I’ve thought about what I could do on the front page to help with that, but geez! I use the navigation widgets on the side so people can find things. I set up three widgets when I combined blogs. I don’t want to go without those. Only time will tell. Thanks for the updates. Keep me posted. And yes, be comfortable. I’m glad we can see this theme. I’m out of ideas. LOL! ❤

  6. So, is it safe to assume by the placing of your mouse that you are a leftie? Lol! Your haiku speaks volumes. I wish I could bottle up our state’s warmth and ship it your way. Great picture and poem, Colleen! 🙂

    1. LOL! Yvi, I guess I’m ambidextrous… years ago when I worked in accounting; I switched to a left-handed mouse. I also operated the calculator left-handed because I could write with my right-hand, almost at the same time that I used the calculator left-handed. I think I should have been left-handed. I can do quite a bit of things with my left hand… but I can’t write with it. 🤦🏼‍♀️ 😆

      1. That’s very interesting! I completely understand making use of both hands for calculating and writing. You made me curious about whether they make keyboards with the number pads on the left, and lo and behold, they do! Learn something new every day! Lol! 😉

    1. I like the window, but the glare really gets me. Most sunny days I leave the blinds down so the sun doesn’t blind me. Sophie is so funny. The two cats fight over this spot. Most of the time Chloe goes in the upstairs media room and cuddles Ron. LOL! ❤

  8. Michigan is famous for that chill!! You ran away from the persistent heat into this lingering chill, lol! No worries, you’ll find your happy medium 🙂. I’d rather be cold than hot. At least you can layer🙂

  10. 1) I’m not sure if I should say “you’re welcome” regarding the theme because I didn’t actually do anything. Regardless, I’m glad things are working for you!

    2) You are funny, Colleen! 😀
