It was 59 degrees this morning. I could feel the change in the air. It was a heavy dew. I can feel summer slipping away. Thanks, Merril. 💜

You’re welcome!
We had some cooler weather a couple weeks ago, but now we’re back to hot and humid.

Same here. It comes in waves. I mowed the lawn yesterday in a misty rain.

I saw maples starting to turn in my neighborhood. Seems early to me. 💜

I think they were just stressed by the unusually hot days…

A perfect celebration of the transition of summer to fall. Today I was out taking inspiration photos of the change in our neck of the woods.

I read the NOAA forecast for winter. It said the upper midwest and east coast would have a cold, snowy winter. After a rainless spring and summer, that might be what we need.

I haven’t checked our forecast for winter. We tend not to get the really harsh winters anymore.

You express so well the positivity of this season. It’s one I love, but I still find its advance at this time of year sad.

It’s the inevitable marching on of time, isn’t it? That’s the feeling I get as Autumn approaches.

I have maple trees turning in my neighborhood. I think it’s early but with the lack of rain, who knows? It was 56 degrees Saturday morning. I could feel the change in the air. Next week, we’ll be back to summer. LOL!

Still hot and humid here. But it could turn suddenly.

We got some rain! The humidity hangs around and by afternoon the sun is blazing. Ah well, soon it will be autumn and then winter! 💜

Autumn has always been my favorite time of the year. After being born and raised in Florida, I was thrilled to move further north. 🍂

For sure. Years ago I lived in Okeechobee, FL. At Christmas it was 80 degrees F. I cried! LOL! I’m a northerner, and I guess I always will be. Many people enjoy the heat. I’m just not one of them. Autumn is refreshing after the heat of summer.

I don’t enjoy the heat nor do I handle it well. I’m ready for the cool briskness of fall.

Thanks, Diana. It’s a respite from summer’s heat. In a few days, summer will push its way back across Lake Michigan to us. LOL!

It’s only in the 50s here, so summer is welcome to make a return visit. (The leaves are falling already!)

Wow! We’re still in the 70s and 80s during the day. I can’t complain. When we lived in Arizona is was 117! I’ll take this any day! 😀

70s and 80s sounds perfect for the end of August. 117… that’s unbearable!
