Happy Moonology October!

As many of you know, I love the month of October! Samhain is my favorite holiday. For me, it’s more than Halloween decorations and handing out candy to the kids in my neighborhood. It’s the start of a new year for Pagans.

This year, I’m determined to explore the Wheel of the Year in more detail through facts and poetry, of course.

I’ll be using Yasmin Boland’s Oracle cards called Moonology. Today, for my month of October reading, I drew the super moon card, which says,

“Emotions are running high.”

Super moon: Emotions are running high!

This card suggests that the answer to whatever you’re asking is right in front of you. Are you wondering about how successful something is going to be, like a job or a relationship? If you are, the answer is YES—very successful!

This card is about being larger than life. Be special and work with that abundance of energy that you feel bursting out of you! Expect good things and a positive outcome when this card shows up.

But you know, along with the good, there are a lot of mixed emotions to deal with as well. There’s also a sense that the opportunities around whatever you’re asking about don’t come around every day. So, take action!

A super moon is a new or full moon that happens when the moon is at its closest point to the Earth. This is known as perigee. If it’s a full moon, it looks bigger during the super moon. In fact, it’s about 14% percent bigger!

The moon is the Queen of Emotions! When you draw the super moon card (regardless of when you draw it) expect your feelings to be highly charged.

    1. My granddaughter lives in Texas and my daughter in Florida. This little wee one has heart problems that will need to be fixed upon her birth. I’m just happy my daughter will be there to look after them all. I’ll be here weaving healing energy to wrap them in love. ❤️

    Love this time of year too Autumn and colours along with harvest time… Lets hope as the cards suggest Colleen those higher charged feelings are generating love..

  7. October has always been my fave month of all. It’s my birthday month. The last Saturday of the month this year. A big birthday.
