About the host:
I met Willow in 2016 when I first started my #TankaTuesday poetry challenge. For the last six years, we’ve written poetry together almost every week. That’s a lot of syllabic poetry!
Here’s a poem Willow wrote last year. This haiku made it into Word Weaving #1: The Moons of Autumn available on Amazon.com.

Willow’s short stories and poetry always evoke powerful emotions. Here’s another of her poems called “Gray Scarf” using the theme of a gray scarf for her inspiration.
'Twas synonymous to her Always the gray scarf Neither silk like nor too harsh It was a comfort. When time scurries by—rush, rush The gray scarf stood still in time The gentle beat of her heart Sand through a timer. It was our comfort and rock Warming old gray scarf Protecting us from the world It’s bitter harshness. Always, it was, safe harbour Where is the beloved gray scarf? I so long to feel its warmth. Like Mother’s soft hand. © Willow Willers
Willow has written a short story on her blog called “Vampires, the Witch and the Werewolf.” The story is a WIP but shows Willow’s love for things magical.
She says:
This story grew from a Thursday Photo Challenge which is run by Sue Vincent of Daily Echo. Well, I stopped writing this story in June this year, wanting to think about it and flesh it out. So far, the stars, or rather real life, has been against me, but today’s photo prompt has inspired me to pull up my socks and work on this story… It may not be a novel but I do feel it is something. There will be changes and cuts, but for now, here are the bones of the story with Sue’s wonderful photo prompts. I am hoping it will be a case to watch this space!!
