Merry Christmas, haiku series

This was the view from my porch at 8 am this morning…

white, bright—snow light glare
snowdrifts, icy frosting swirls
wind swept ornaments

clean snowflakes purling
snow eddies carve crystal gems
Yule wears winter white

a Christmas snow storm
presents from the universe
peace, love, grace to all

Merry Christmas and to all a good night!

    1. Thanks, Jacqui. My husband is from California and I think he misses the temperatures. I’m from the mid-west so this is normal to me. I can’t remember our last white Christmas. It’s been years.

  2. Merry Christmas, Colleen, and I love your beautiful poem. No snow for us but we have a mess in one of our bathrooms from frozen pipes that burst. 💖

  3. Ooo! You got snow. Nothing here, but colder than ice. It rained before the high winds came whipping through so much so I thought we would be slip sliding away😀. But we were lucky, that wind ended up drying the roads and sidewalks. We just froze instead. I’ll take that,😀. Wonderful holidays to you and yours. And may the New Year bring you Joy, good health and good fortune.

    1. Pat, thank goodness you escaped the snow. I heard we will have rain this weekend. How crazy! It’s still cold but we’re waiting for the warm up! Happy New Year! 🥳
