Dawn breaks—bold, golden light an explosion of color against a winter-blue sky When was the last time I felt sunshine on my face? Bright light streaks the heavens, pink glow birds circle from lofty heights While I gaze up in awe from below © Colleen M. Chesebro

For dVerse, where the word is “bold” or some form of bold, presented by De Jackson, aka WhimsyGizmo.
A beautiful and vivid poem, Colleen.

A lovely poem to celebrate the dawn. Dawn around here has been very timid of date.

How beautiful. I love catching the breaking of dawn. And how strong the verb “break” is, in its description of it. So perfect.

I was lifting my gaze upwards too, Colleen! You’ve captured the purity of the sublime dawn! The sun is rather shy this time of year and it’s precious to feel the sunlight on one’s face!

Thanks so much, Annika. These gray Michigan skies are really dark this year. Any day the sun shines, it’s glorious!💛

I love that we can share those days, Lisa. It seems this year is grayer than most. ☀️

It sure is. I read something the other day that talks about the warming of the planet taking more water out of lakes, rivers, oceans, etc. and up into the air, which makes it ever cloudier 😦
