For #TankaTuesday this week, our words to find synonyms for were: spring & green. I used tender for green, and the word budding for spring.

Judy Mastrangelo’s inspirational oracle cards, Dream Your Joy, inspired this haiku.

I see it!! Lily ponds are magical.

I would love to sit and stare at a lily pond. Lots of reflections internally and externally!

Lovely. A few years ago I was kayaking on a river that had oodles of lilypads in various stages. I like the seed pods.
Some pads can get huge!!

Yes! I remember the seed pods when I was a kid in Wisconsin. Take some photos! 💐

I’m not sure if I did… but I did take some at the ‘CR retreat’ of pads and flowers. 😀

Thanks so much, Robbie. I loved the idea of pond gazing… so many reflections internally and externally. It’s like cloud watching. 💖

This made me think of a pond we pass when walking. Can’t wait for the blooms. Xo

I love water lillies! There are some great marshy areas around our house. I’ll have to be on the look out this year for the lillies.

There’s a rain garden at the library I go to, and it has water lilies. I will have to look this week, and see if anything is budding yet. 💙

I would love to have a lily pond where you could gaze into the water and dream. Take photos if the pond is waking up!

This is beautiful, Colleen. I love lily ponds. They are teeming with life and a little bit mysterious, but not in a huge way like an ocean.

Thanks, Luanne. I like reflections. I could see all kinds of mystery in that pond water.
